Universal Success Enterprises Limited (USEL), founded in 1995 by Mr. Prasoon Mukherjee, is a Singapore-headquartered multinational company with a strong presence across South Asia and Southeast Asia. Engaged in infrastructure, energy, and hospitality, USEL’s diverse portfolio includes mega-townships, industrial parks, data centers, coal mining, renewable energy projects, and TGI Friday’s restaurants as the Master Franchisee for India and its various airports. With over 1,000 professionals driving its vision, USEL continues to shape sustainable growth through landmark projects such as the Kolkata West International City township and a data center in Bengal Silicon Valley.
Mr. Prasoon Mukherjee is a first-generation entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist, as well as an industry leader who serves as an honorary member of various inter-governmental advisory bodies, delegations, and think tanks. Presently, he is the Chairman of the India Business Committee, part of the prestigious Singapore Business Federation. Additionally, he holds positions as Vice Chairman of SBF’s Internationalization Action Committee and Vice Chairman of SBF’s Southeast Asia Business Group. He also serves as an advisor for Nanyang Polytechnic International and the Singapore Manufacturing Federation.
Mr. Mukherjee’s vision has always been to develop world-class businesses in hospitality, township development, industrial parks, and energy by leveraging state-of-the-art technology, design, and architecture, while prioritizing environmental protection and the needs of the communities where the group operates. Upholding this vision, USEL has emerged as one of Eastern India’s leading infrastructure development organizations, with credentials that include over 20 million square feet developed and more than 125,000 jobs created across sectors.
Over the past decade, the group has invested approximately Rs. 10,000 crore in India. Plans are underway to scale investments by an additional Rs. 12,000 crore in the near term, with proposals including Rs. 7,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh focusing on logistics parks, Rs. 2,300 crore in Gujarat including a solar park, Rs. 700 crore in Assam encompassing logistics, renewable energy, and thermal power, and Rs. 2,000 crore in West Bengal for projects such as data centers and logistics infrastructure.
Mr. Mukherjee has been honored with the prestigious “Best Bengali Entrepreneur of the World” award twice, in 2009 and 2019, at the North America Bengali Conference. A well-known humanitarian, he is actively involved in social initiatives such as providing aid during natural disasters, supporting the physically challenged, endorsing national-level sports, and sponsoring book fairs and film festivals.
